86ed

The barkeep said, “I’m sorry, but you will have to go,

I gotta 86 you, cuz you don’t have no dough.”

Though it was my first time, it wouldn’t be my last,

And every time I mess up, it happens pretty fast.

I walked into a bar down in San Antone.

I didn’t mean no harm, just had to use the phone.

Got into a fight, cuz somethin wasn’t right,

Then they 86ed me into that Texas night.

One time in San Diego. I drank a bit too much,

That tap on my shoulder was the bouncer’s touch.

It didn’t take much time ‘til I was 86ed,

Now I can’t go back until the damage’s fixed.

Presidents and peasants need to hear that call,

We gotta 86 ‘em when they get off the wall.

I hope that someone tells you when you are out of line,

And if they 86 you, we’ll all think it’s fine.

For those who don’t know, the term 86 47 means to remove the 47th president from office. The Constitution provides 2 ways of doing this: Article II, Section 4 (Impeachment) and the 25th Amendment (Fitness).
